Dr Maria A. Croyle RPh., PhD is a Professor of Pharmaceutics at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy where she has lead a busy research lab in pursuit of a single-dose, long-lasting Adenovirus-based Ebola vaccine, as well as studies in drug metabolism, novel vaccine formulations and other viral vectors.
Her students have come from all over the world to be challenged by the plethora of skill sets represented in such an innovative research environment.

April 12, 2011 Jin Huk Choi Receives Award for Best Abstract in the Graduate Student Category during the College of Pharmacy's Celebration of Research Excellence Day.

Jin Huk Choi, a fourth year graduate student in Pharmaceutics, received recognition for his work titled " A Novel, Non-Invasive Method for Protective Vaccination Against Dangerous Pathogens ". He gave a 15 minute presentation of the work and received a certificate honoring his work.

January 20-21 and February 24, 2011 Dr. Croyle visits Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, Texas as a judge for their Science Fair.

Dr. Croyle spent 2 days talking to aspiring scientists about their research projects in chemistry, microbiology and health.  She then served as a lead judge in the Health/Medicine Section of the Austin Energy Regional Science Festival the following month.

January 17, 2011 Ross Phan joins the Croyle lab as part of the Pharm.D., Ph.D. program!

Prior to her acceptance into the UT College of Pharmacy Pharm.D. program, Ms. Phan received a bachelor's degree in biology from Texas Christian University. She is currently working on developing novel formulations to improve the shelf life and potency of bacteria-based vaccines.
